in the village of Varzea Pequena, Gois, Central Portugal

In the village of Varzea Pequena, there is a local cafe/bar and mini super-market.  From the house, it is a two minute walk to the Ceira River in the village; here there are built-in barbecue and washing facilities with picnic tables and children's play area.  There is also a river bar, serving snack meals throughout the day, and during the summer there is music and entertainment.  It is safe for river swimming and kayaking (not deep!) with sandy beaches.

Across the river is the village of Vila Nova do Ceira, a 5 minute walk, which has numerous  cafes and a restaurant serving lunches. A well stocked super-market, petrol station, pharmacy & ATM machine.

All main facilities are close by in the Historic town of Gois, only a 5 minute drive away.  Banks, shops, numerous Cafes and Restaurants.  24 Hour Clinic, Dentist, Pharmacy.  

Here too there is river beach swimming, with barbecue areas, and you can kayak up the river from Varzea Pequeana to Gois.  We have adventure kayaks to hire for Eu10 per day, including provision of safety jackets.

In summer, there are numerous festivities in Gois, Varzea Pequena and all the surrounding villages.

Eu  250.00     Per month  (maximum 4 people

Plus Bills - electricity, gas, water, internet connection

Electricity : approx. Eu30 per month - Gas : Re-new of gas bottle cost approx Eu27 - Water : approx Eu9 per month - Internet : Eu39 per month (high speed, unlimited download)

A Eu250 deposit against breakages/damages and final payment of bills/rent is required plus Eu250 one month rent payable at the beginning of each month.
